Our governance is unusual for a major financial institution — we know you'll appreciate it.

Credit unions are cooperative financial institutions that are owned by their customers. Meridian has been growing that way for over 60 years. We’re owned by over 220,000 people like you, and as a member, you have a say in how your credit union is governed.

The Meridian Board is unusual in financial services circles too — they’re elected by members, they represent members, and they’re focused on a blend of financial accountability and member service optimization.

Everyone Welcome

Meridian , like most credit unions are open to everyone. You ‘belong’ to a credit union – actually it belongs to you. We are community-focused, constantly striving to make a positive impact where our members work and live.

The Meridian Team

The Meridian Board, Management team and employees, our partners in the credit union movement, and our business partners/suppliers of financial products and services are all working toward the same goal.

We are very clear on what makes Meridian Credit Union different, but more important – better – than other financial services in Ontario today.

We offer every financial service that Canadian banks do. We do it on-line, in branches, at ABMs and across the country (even around the world).

But, it’s how we serve you and support you that makes us better.
