Local Meridian Credit Union employee cuts off locks for a good cause
On Friday, February 12, 2010, Kristy Keen, a Financial Services
Representative at the Meridian Credit Union Clarkson branch, will be cutting off
and donating at least 17 inches of her hair to 'Angel Hair for Kids'.
Approximately three years ago, Kristy donated 15 inches of her hair to the cause.
This year, with the support of Meridian Credit Union, Kristy achieved and surpassed
her goal of raising $1,700 to cover the cost of two wigs.
Angel Hair for Kids is run by A Child's Voice Foundation located in Mississauga.
They provide wigs and hair systems to children that have lost their hair due to
cancer treatments, alopecia and burns.
