St. Catharines, ON – Meridian Credit Union was honoured with the United
Way of St. Catharines and District Community Builder Award at their Annual Awards
Night dinner last night in St. Catharines.
"We were thrilled to receive this prestigious community award," said Mr.
Sean Jackson, President and CEO of Meridian Credit Union. "To be recognized
for our ongoing dedication to helping build strong, vibrant, inclusive communities
is something our entire organization is proud of!"
The Community Builder Award is presented to an organization that finds unique ways
to support local communities through a variety of volunteer and fundraising activities.
Meridian Credit Union’s support in 2009 included strong volunteer representation
on United Way’s committees, including the Board of Directors, Major Gifts Cabinet,
and the inaugural Women’s Leadership Council.
"Being awarded this honour helps to highlight how Meridian employees at all
levels truly live our corporate values," adds Jackson.
