Better life for young people will come through better knowledge of how to handle money
TORONTO (March 29, 2011) – Initiatives in the provincial budget to improve financial literacy among young people are important in helping to ensure that they will have better lives, according to Meridian Credit Union President and CEO Sean Jackson.
“As Ontario’s largest credit union, we strongly believe that understanding how to budget and handle money is the key to financial security and a happier life. We believe that it’s important to develop this understanding at a young age and we fully support budget initiatives to help students learn basic financial skills,” Jackson said.
