St. Catharines — Meridian Credit Union raises $143,781 for this year’s employee
United Way campaign.
“Every year, I am amazed and delighted to see how employees at Meridian dedicate
themselves to helping improve the communities in which they live and work through
the United Way campaign,” said Sean Jackson, President & CEO of Meridian Credit
Union. “As part of our corporate social responsibility program, the Good Neighbour
Program, we constantly demonstrate our commitment to helping our neighbours build
strong, vibrant and inclusive communities.”
Meridian’s 1,000 employees worked together to create fundraising events and activities,
including bake sales, bingo games, raffles and payroll donations, to help raise
money towards local United Way campaigns.
This year’s total also includes a $25,000 corporate donation made to the United
Way through Meridian’s corporate social responsibility program, the Good Neighbour
Program.
