Directors of Meridian’s Board are paid an annual honourarium in recognition of the significance of the accountabilities and responsibilities associated with governing Meridian, and in recognition of the time required to fulfill their responsibilities. As the duties of the Board Chair and Committee Chairs add to this workload, Meridian recognizes this with increased honourariums.   Â
The current schedule for honorariums is as follows
$35,000   Board Chair  Â
$25,000 Â Â Audit Committee Chair
$20,000 Â Â Board Vice Chair and Chairs of other Committees
$15,000 Â Â Director
Directors are additionally paid a per diem for each meeting attended.
