Easy to use
Sending and receiving money is just a few clicks away. All you need is an account at a Canadian financial institution and an email address to use Interac e-Transfer. A security question protects your money from being deposited by unintended recipients.
Secure
You don’t need to know the recipient’s financial institution or account information. An email carries the notification only, not your funds. Never worry about sharing your personal or financial information with the people you send money to: your address and account information are kept private.
Convenient
Send and receive money quickly, at any time, at your convenience. To receive funds, just click on the hyperlink in the recipient email, sign into your Online Banking service, and answer a security question specific to you. Sending money is simple. Login to your Online Banking account, choose the recipient’s email address, enter the amount of funds to send, and a create a unique security question.
The fee for sending an Interac e-Transfer is $1.25. There is no fee for receiving an Interac e-Transfer.
