Through governance, we stay committed to the highest standards toward our Members, employees and the communities we serve. Through trust, teamwork, transparency and professionalism, we ensure that Meridian and its Members are taken care of.

Board of Directors

Meridian’s Board of Directors consists of twelve Members elected by the Membership through a nomination process and voting process using electronic or in-branch voting.  We think a Board that works for its Members, who also happen to be shareholders, is a very good idea.  It's just one more advantage you can count on when you become a Meridian Member.

Board Elections

Meridian Board Members are generally elected for 3 year terms. Every year Meridian holds Board Elections to fill vacancies for expired terms or to fill other vacancies that may have occurred.

Board Responsibility

Every Member who is on Meridian’s Board of Directors is responsible for setting strategic direction, establishing policies and overseeing Management. They are responsible for ensuring that Meridian’s operations are managed in an effective manner, that all regulatory and statutory requirements are met, and monitoring the credit union’s performance. Every director is responsible for exercising independent judgment with honesty and integrity. And any one of our Members is welcome to apply.
