We love helping our Members save money. That’s why Price Drop searches stores for lower prices on purchases you’ve already made, days, weeks or even months after you’ve bought them. Tell us what you bought and we’ll tell you if we find a lower advertised price. If we do, you can claim money back from the retailer. You'll never have to shop around again!

Step 1 - Tell us what you bought

Take a photo of your receipt using the Meridian mobile app. Alternatively, after you've registered, you can share your email with us and forward online receipts to receipts@meridiancu.ca.

Step 2 - We search for Price Drops

We’ll scan your receipts and check with retailers for better prices on electronics, furniture, toys, apparel, and other eligible items from price matching retailers.

Step 3 - Save money

If we find a better price, we’ll notify you by email or in-app notification. We’ll share the proof you need to claim the difference in cost from the retailer.

  • How is this possible?

    To keep customers happy, retailers often match competitor prices after a purchase has been made, for the same items, within a set period of time. This practice is called price matching. Typically, it means refunding the difference between the retailer’s advertised price and the competitor’s lower price. Our Price Drop feature checks your receipt against hundreds of retailers every day, for the lifetime of your receipt, to try and find a lower price. All you have to do is submit your receipts and we take it from there.

  • Who is this for?

    Price Drop isn't available for our entire Member base just yet. We are running a trial period (beta) with a select group of Members to make sure the feature works as intended.

  • Can I submit online receipts?

    Yes, you can forward your online receipts to receipts@meridiancu.ca. Make sure you provide us with the email address you will be sending online receipts from so that we can tie your receipts to your Price Drop account. You can provide your email address under Price Drop Settings.

  • How long do you search for?

    We will search for a lower price on your purchase as long as we can. Some retailers have 30, 60, 90 days or even lifetime price matching policies.

  • How do I know if a lower price is found?

    You can check on the status of your purchases by accessing Price Drop in our mobile app. Enable notifications under Price Drop Settings, and we will shoot you a note when a lower price is found.

  • I’ve submitted several receipts and haven’t received a Price Drop. What gives?

    Some people will receive a Price Drop right away while for others it can take more time. It all depends on whether your product is sold at a lower price somewhere else. If it is, we will find it, so hang in there! We’ll continue to search for a better price on your product for as long as the receipt allows us to. If you didn’t receive a Price Drop, it may just be that you’ve already paid the best price possible.

  • Once a lower price is found, how do I get my money back?

    Show the Price Drop Proof that we will provide via our app and your original purchase receipt to the retailer. For online receipts, whenever possible, we will claim the refund from the retailer on your behalf. The refund will be deposited by the retailer into the account you made the purchase from.

  • How can I unsubscribe from Price Drop?

    Visit the Price Drop Settings page to Unsubscribe. Note that unsubscribing from Price Drop will remove your receipts and delete corresponding tracked purchase items.
