Meridian appoints Chief Member Experience Officer

Toronto (January 29, 2018) – Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union, proudly announces the appointment of Wade Stayzer as Senior Vice President and Chief Member Experience Officer.  
 
As Meridian’s Chief Member Experience Officer, Stayzer will be responsible for overseeing Meridian’s Retail and Commercial lines of business while also developing the credit union’s alternative distribution partnerships, organic Member growth and enhancing the sales and service experience for Members.   

“Wade’s long tenure and strong track record of accomplishments at Meridian made him a standout candidate for this position,” said Bill Maurin, President and CEO of Meridian. “His experience with Meridian, deep understanding of Meridian’s values and natural leadership abilities will serve him well as he assumes his new role.”
 
With more than 20 years of financial services experience, Stayzer brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role. Since Meridian’s inception in 2005, Stayzer has played a key leadership role in developing Meridian’s retail delivery strategy. A long-time supporter and champion of the Ontario credit union system, Stayzer has held a variety of roles and responsibilities at Niagara Credit Union – one of Meridian’s legacy credit unions.  
 
“It has been an absolute honour to witness the growth and evolution of Meridian through the past decade,” said Stayzer. “As I enter this new role, I am enthusiastic and optimistic about the strategic journey Meridian is embarking in and I am thrilled to be selected to play a key role in helping shape Meridian’s future.”  

A tireless community advocate, Wade is currently a Governor at Niagara College, a member of the Rotary Club of St. Catharines, and a proud member of the 2021 Canada Games Host Society for the Niagara Region.
