Fraud protection
Fraud specialists monitor your account 24/7 using sophisticated tools to catch suspicious activity. If we notice anything unusual, we’ll contact you immediately to determine if there are unauthorized actions associated with your account.
If you indicated that the transactions were not fraud, your card will continue to be available for use. If the transaction is unrecognized, we will block usage of your credit card unless we hear from you that the transaction was authorized. If the transaction is confirmed as fraudulent, we may re-issue your account and send you a new card.
Chip and PIN
As part of our commitment to providing you with the highest level of card security, your card is equipped with Chip and PIN protection. The encrypted microchip is virtually impossible to duplicate and works with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) instead of your signature for transaction verification.
With your Chip and PIN card, you never need to hand your card over to anyone to complete a transaction. Your private PIN replaces your signature, so your benefits include:
- Added peace of mind
- Increased security against unauthorized use of your card
- Increased security against counterfeiting and skimming
Don’t share your PIN
Your PIN is unique to you. No one else can use your card without the PIN, so ensure your own peace of mind by keeping your PIN private and protected. You can change your PIN at any time. To establish or change your PIN, call 1-833-217-8090.
Your credit card allows you to consolidate other balances into one card. Transfer a balance by calling Cardholder Service at 1-877-558-3049. Please have the billing and account information available for the balances that you wish to transfer.
The annual interest rate is a measure of the cost of credit, expressed as a nominal yearly rate. It is the amount of interest that is billed to your account for the convenience of using your credit card. There is a 21-day grace period during which no interest will be charged on that month's merchandise purchases. Please note that cash advances do not have a grace period. You can view your current annual interest rate online in your eZCard account or on a monthly statement. Your complete annual interest rate details were provided with your card when your account was approved.
Your card will work in most countries. Due to fraud trends, we may restrict transactions in certain countries. As a fraud protection measure, we do strongly recommend that you call Cardholder Service prior to your departure. You can reach Cardholder Service at 1-877-558-3049.

eZCard is our online account management tool where you can access account information any time. You can access eZCard by logging into Meridian online banking. With eZCard, you can check current balances, review recent activities, verify the last payment made, make payments, view eStatements, and more.
Our Meridian Visa Rewards Program is available on all of our credit card products and includes options to redeem for gift cards, merchandise, travel or account credit. You can redeem rewards online through eZCard.
When you receive your card, you need to activate it by calling the number on the sticker affixed to the front of your card. Once your card is activated and you have received your PIN, you can begin using your card.

Cardholders can make a payment through online banking (a platform like Meridian Credit Union or another financial institution), through a bill payment enabled ATM, or at a branch.
