Should we notice anything unusual, we’ll contact you immediately to determine if there are unauthorized actions associated with your account. Sign up for fraud text alerts, and we’ll send alerts directly to your mobile phone. Fraud text alerts can help you prevent fraudulent transactions from occurring on your card. Enrolling is easy and this service is free.^
When a suspicious transaction occurs, a text message is sent to the mobile device you listed at the time of enrollment. Reply “N” confirming that none of the listed transactions were fraud, and all of the purchases were made by you. Or reply “Y” to notify Collabria that the listed transactions were not purchases that you made. If you indicated that the transactions were not fraud, your card will continue to be available for use. If the transaction is unrecognized, we will block usage of your credit card unless we hear from you that the transaction was authorized. If the transaction is confirmed as fraudulent, we may re-issue your account and send you a new card.

Chip and PIN
As part of our commitment to providing you with the highest level of card security, your card is equipped with Chip & PIN protection. The encrypted microchip is virtually impossible to duplicate and works with your Personal Identification Number (PIN) instead of your signature for transaction verification.
With your Chip & PIN card, you never need to hand your card over to anyone to complete a transaction. Your private PIN replaces your signature, so your benefits include:

- Increased security against counterfeiting and skimming
Your PIN is yours – no one else’s
Your PIN is unique to you. No one else can use your card without the PIN, so ensure your own peace of mind by keeping your PIN private and protected. You can change your PIN at any time. To establish or change your PIN, call 1-844-788-2725.
Using your Chip card
If you’re making a purchase as your first transaction, you will be prompted to enter your PIN 3 times. Making a purchase with your Chip card is simple, easy and secure:
- Place your card into the chip-reader terminal.
- Follow the onscreen prompts and click OK for the purchase amount.
- The terminal will request your PIN, which is used instead of a signature.
- Once your PIN is confirmed and the purchase is approved, your receipt will be printed.
Note: You will be prompted when to remove your card. This may occur during the transaction or at the end of the transaction.
Chip technology has been proven effective in Canada and in more than 80 countries around the world. For situations where Chip technology isn’t available, your card will still have a magnetic stripe and our additional security measures.
Meridian has partnered with Collabria to provide you with a credit card product as a service or benefit to your relationship with them. Collabria provides you with 24/7 Cardholder Service, access to account information online through MyCardInfo and round the clock fraud monitoring and protection services for your credit card. Collabria also receives and processes your card payments and manages collections on delinquent accounts. From time to time, you may receive communications from Collabria regarding your credit card account.
Your credit card allows you to consolidate other balances into one card. Transfer a balance by calling Cardholder Service at 1-855-341-4643. Please have the billing and account information for the balances that you wish to transfer from available.
The annual interest rate is a measure of the cost of credit, expressed as a nominal yearly rate. It is the amount of interest that is billed to your account for the convenience of using your credit card. There is a 25-day grace period during which no interest will be charged on that month's merchandise purchases. Please note that cash advances do not have a grace period. You can view your current annual interest rate online at MyCardInfo or on a monthly statement. Your complete annual interest rate details were provided with your card when your account was approved.
Your card will work in most countries. Due to fraud trends, we may restrict transactions in certain countries. As a fraud protection measure, we do strongly recommend that you call Cardholder Service prior to your departure or use the travel form available online through MyCardInfo. MyCardInfo is our online account management tool where you can access account information 24/7. You can register for a MyCardInfo account for free as a Meridian cardholder. With MyCardInfo, you can check current balances, review recent activities, verify the last payment made, make payments, view eStatements and more.
Rewards can be redeemed online through MyCardInfo.
When you receive your card, you must activate it by calling the number on the sticker affixed to the front of your card. Once your card is activated and you have received your PIN, you can begin using your card.

Cardholders can make a payment in-branch, through an external source such as an ATM (bill payment enabled) or using an online banking site at MCU or other FI’s.
