Community Builders

Community Builders is a not-for-profit residential construction company serving Simcoe County and Greater Sudbury. They offer people facing barriers to employment paid, hands-on learning opportunities in construction. Their training program gives community members foundational knowledge that will support them as they start a meaningful career in the trades.

Building Up

Building Up is Canada’s largest non-profit construction social enterprise. By leveraging construction contracts and a comprehensive pre-apprenticeship program, Building Up provides both in-class training and hands-on experience for community members with barriers who are ready to launch meaningful careers in the trades.

In-depth training

Program trainees receive 12 weeks of skilled trades training and 12 months of one-on-one financial confidence coaching.
