TORONTO (August 24, 2016) – Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union, opens its first Markham Branch, located at 1210 Castlemore Avenue. Uniquely designed under the art of Feng Shui, the new branch also provides services in six languages for a community-focused banking experience.
“This design was carefully chosen to create a calming and prosperous environment where Members of the Markham community can be comfortable when dealing with their finances," says Eugene Chan, Branch Manager. “My staff and I are eager to begin strengthening our relationships with local members.”
Feng Shui means 'wind water' and is the art of designing a balanced, harmonious space. The branch will have a Money Tree, a vase with nine red flowers and a picture of mountains, which are just a few of the elements created into the space.
A full suite of competitive products and personalized services are available, and banking advisors are on hand to provide assistance for first-time digital banking users. Members can speak with banking advisors in Cantonese, English, Mandarin, Tamil, Polish and Japanese.
For additional convenience, the branch hours of operation are:
Mon - Wed: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thurs - Fri: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sat: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
