Create an online will in minutes

Online wills

Peace of mind at a low cost. Create a legal will online in less than 20 minutes.

Secure your peace of mind with an up-to-date will

Part of living your best life is being prepared for the unexpected. Not having a will puts your estate at risk and leaves decisions about your property to the courts.

According to a recent poll, half of Canadian adults don’t have an up-to-date will. Younger Canadians, in particular are putting off this critical piece of financial planning, largely due to cost.

Through our partnerships with two leading digital will providers, we’re simplifying the will and estate process by bringing more affordable options to our Members.

Low cost and convenient online will options

We’ve partnered with two leading online will providers, Willful and Legal Wills. Both offer a range of services from basic online wills to comprehensive estate planning. As a Meridian Member, you’ll receive 20% off the retail price of any packages from either provider.

Willful

Willful is the only Canadian online will platform approved by the Law Society of Ontario as an Access to Innovation provider. Willful breaks down the estate planning process into simple steps, so you can create your last will and testament and power of attorney documents in 20 minutes or less from the comfort of home. Every Willful plan includes unlimited updates for 1 year and best-in-class support from estate-planning experts via live-chat, email, and phone.

How do online wills work?

Online wills are a safe and cost effective “DIY” option for Canadians with uncomplicated estate planning needs. To get started, simply choose a provider and answer a series of questions about your wishes. Both Legal Wills and Willful offer simple, intuitive platforms that are easy to use.

Once you’ve entered your will details, you’ll have an opportunity to review your online will. You can also use the platform to set up a power of attorney if desired. Your will provider will give you instructions on how to make your will legally binding.
