Toronto –September 19, 2017–Meridian, Ontario’s largest credit union, proudly announces the appointment of Anne Berend as Chief Employee Experience Officer.
As Meridian’s Chief Employee Experience Officer, Berend will oversee the design, delivery and monitoring of Meridian’s People Services programs including benefits design, talent acquisition and development programs for Meridian’s more than 1,800 employees.
“Anne’s extensive and impressive human resource background will play a critical role in helping Meridian foster and maintain our highly engaged employee environment,” said Bill Maurin, President and CEO of Meridian. “Through her leadership and guidance, I’m confident Anne will help champion Meridian’s ownership and innovation culture as we continue to grow and evolve.”
With more than 20 years in human resource leadership roles, Anne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role. Prior to joining Meridian, Berend held senior leadership roles with Rogers Communications, IBM Corporation and Coca Cola Bottling Company.
