Toronto, Ontario, May 1, 2019 – Thousands of Ontario residents in the regions of the Ottawa Valley, Ottawa-Gatineau and Muskoka are just beginning the long process of recovery from historic floods that have driven people from their homes.
Meridian has made a $5,000 donation to assist the Canadian Red Cross in delivering essential services to impacted areas who are working alongside local authorities to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the flooding.
Meridian will match employee donations made to this cause, dollar for dollar, up to $1000 through Meridian’s employee giving program, My Commitment to Communities.
Money raised will be used to respond to immediate and emerging needs and to support the recovery efforts of those affected in and around Ottawa Valley, Muskoka and Ottawa Gatineau, and other affected areas.
