Meridian Youth Account Special Offer
Terms and Conditions

Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) welcomes and invites youths under the age of 17 to open a Youth Savings Account (an “Account”) at Meridian. After opening an Account and purchasing a Meridian Membership Share (the “Share”) for the first time, Meridian will offer a CAD $100-dollar cash reward (the “Cash Reward”) provided eligibility criteria is met (the “Offer”). The Offer is available between September 14, 2026 to October 31, 2026 (the “Offer Period”). Meridian reserves the right to extend or shorten the Offer Period at its sole discretion.

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria must be satisfied by the youth applicant and the youth’s parent or guardian:

Youth Applicant

  1. Reside in Ontario, Canada
  2. Be 17 years of age or under, during the Offer Period
  3. Have not held a Share as of September 14, 2026
  4. Purchase a $1 Share when opening an Account during the Offer Period

Youth’s Parent/Guardian

  1. The Youth’s parent or guardian (the “Parent/Guardian”) must be a Meridian Member and have an active Share.
  2. The Parent/Guardian shall sign the Meridian Membership Agreement for the Account and be added to the Account as a Parent/Guardian with signing authority (collectively, the “Eligibility Criteria”).

Limitations

  1. Unless otherwise indicated, this Offer cannot be combined with any other personal deposit account offer, reward or rebate.
  2. Only one (1) Cash Reward is available per youth who meets the Eligibility Criteria (“Eligible Youth Member”).
  3. If Meridian determines, in its sole discretion, that any person has engaged in conduct intended to manipulate or circumvent the Offer or its limits—including by using multiple names, identities, email addresses, or other information—that person will be deemed ineligible for and disqualified from the Offer.
  4. Children of employees of Meridian are eligible to participate in the Offer.

Valuation and Payment

  1. If an Eligible Youth Member qualifies to receive the Cash Reward, the Cash Reward will be directly credited to the Account within four (4) to eight (8) weeks from the Account open date once all required steps are completed and in line with Meridian’s terms and conditions.
  2. The Cash Reward must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or assignable. No substitutes are permitted.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. This Offer cannot be combined with any other offer from Meridian.
  2. This is a limited time Offer. The terms and conditions of this Offer, including the overall availability of the Offer, are subject to the absolute discretion of Meridian and may be changed by Meridian at any time without further notice. Meridian reserves the right at any time without prior notice and in its sole discretion, to add, alter or modify all or any of these terms and conditions or to replace the Offer, wholly or in part, with any other offer, whether similar to the Offer or not, or to withdraw the Offer altogether. Meridian reserves the right to suspend, disqualify, limit, or revoke the Offer to any Eligible Youth Member and/or Parent/Guardian Member at any time, at its sole discretion.
  3. By participating in this Offer, each participant, including Eligible Youth Members and/or their Parents/Guardians, expressly consents to Meridian, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing, using and disclosing the personal information submitted while participating in this Offer for the purpose of administering this Offer and in accordance with the terms of Meridian’s Personal Memberships Account Opening Agreement and Meridian’s privacy policy (available at: Privacy Statement). Participants who do not wish to provide their email address will still be able to open an Account.
  4. Additional terms and conditions apply to both the opening and operation of the Account at Meridian. Except as may be set out in the terms and conditions of this Offer, all terms and conditions applicable to products and services held with Meridian continue to apply during and after the Offer.
  5. Meridian shall have the exclusive right to determine the amounts, if any, payable under this Offer.
  6. The Cash Reward is non-transferable and non-exchangeable for any other benefits or items.
  7. By participating in this Offer, Members agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the Offer will result in disqualification.
  8. Meridian is not liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with this Offer, including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential losses.
  9. By participating in this Offer, the Member agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Meridian, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, including legal fees and expenses on a full indemnity basis, arising from or in connection with this Offer. This indemnity shall survive the termination, completion or expiry of the Offer.
  10. The Offer is intended for promotional purposes only and does not constitute financial or legal advice or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of any of the Accounts.
  11. Participation in this Offer is the Member’s acknowledgement that they have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
