MERIDIAN MORTGAGE BROKER AND DRIVEON LOAN - FREE, 36-MONTH DIGITAL CHEQUING PACKAGE OFFER

Offer Summary

The Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) Mortgage Broker and DriveON Loan 36-Month, Free Digital Chequing Package Offer is available to eligible new Meridian Members who obtain either:

  • a new, approved and funded Meridian mortgage through Meridian’s approved mortgage broker channel; or
  • a new, approved and funded DriveON vehicle loan through Meridian’s DriveON program.

Eligible Members who meet all Offer Eligibility Criteria (defined below) will receive a waiver of the monthly package fee for one Meridian Digital Chequing Package for thirty-six (36) months (the “Fee Waiver Period”).

This Offer is valid only if the eligible Member opens a Meridian Digital Chequing Package within three (3) months after the date the Offer is made available by e-mail to the Member (the “Offer Invitation Email”).

For example, if the Offer Invitation Email is sent to the Member on September 15, 2026, the Member must open and qualify for a Meridian Digital Chequing Package by December 15, 2026 to be eligible for the Offer.

This Offer is intended to support eligible new Members who are joining Meridian through a mortgage broker or DriveON lending relationship and who also open a Meridian Digital Chequing Package.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Offer, a new Member must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Reside in Ontario, Canada.
  2. Be 18 years of age or older at the time of participation.
  3. Not have held a Meridian Membership Share as of September 15, 2026.
  4. Obtain, maintain and keep active one of the following products:
  1. a new, approved and funded Meridian mortgage where the mortgage application is submitted to Meridian through an approved mortgage broker and funded through Meridian’s mortgage broker channel; or
  2. a new, approved and funded DriveON vehicle loan through Meridian’s DriveON program.
    (the “Eligible Lending Products”)
  1. Have received the Offer Invitation Email from Meridian.
  2. Purchase a Meridian Membership Share.
  3. Qualify for and open a Meridian Digital Chequing Package through Meridian’s standard account-opening process within three (3) months from when the Offer Invitation was sent by e-mail to the Member.
  4. You must open the Meridian Digital Chequing Package in branch or by calling 1 (866) 592-2226. It cannot be opened online.
  5. Maintain an active eligible Meridian mortgage or DriveON vehicle loan during the Fee Waiver Period.

(collectively, the “Offer Eligibility Criteria”).

Mortgages funded through any other Meridian channel, including a Meridian branch, Meridian mortgage mobile specialist, online banking, mobile app, or any other direct-to-Meridian channel, are not eligible for this Offer.

For greater certainty, the Eligible Lending Products must be approved and funded by Meridian. Submitting an application, receiving a rate quote, obtaining a pre-approval, or beginning an application does not, by itself, qualify a Member for this Offer.

The Offer – Waived Digital Chequing Package Fee

  1. For Members who meet the Offer Eligibility Criteria, Meridian will waive the monthly package fee for one Meridian Digital Chequing Package for thirty-six (36) months.

 All other applicable charges, fees and service charges associated with the Meridian Digital Chequing Package will continue to apply.

A maximum of one (1) Meridian Digital Chequing Package monthly package fee will be waived per eligible Member under this Offer.

Once the Fee Waiver Period ends, the standard monthly package fee for the Meridian Digital Chequing Package will apply in accordance with Meridian’s current rates and fees for personal accounts at the time the Fee Waiver Period ends.

Continued Eligibility

Meridian will annually review continued eligibility for the Offer during the Fee Waiver Period.

If, during the Fee Waiver Period, the Member no longer maintains an active Eligible Lending Product, or otherwise no longer meets the Offer Eligibility Criteria, Meridian may end the fee waiver and begin charging the standard monthly package fee for the Meridian Digital Chequing Package in accordance with Meridian’s current rates and fees.

General Terms

  1. This Offer cannot be combined with any other Meridian offer, promotion, discount or fee waiver unless expressly permitted by Meridian.
  2. The standard monthly package fee for the Meridian Digital Chequing Package will apply after the Fee Waiver Period ends, or earlier if the Member no longer meets the Offer Eligibility Criteria.
  3. Except as expressly set out in these terms and conditions, all terms and conditions applicable to any Meridian products or services held by the Member continue to apply and are not amended by this Offer.
  4. This is a limited time Offer. Meridian reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, suspend, replace or terminate this Offer, or any part of these terms and conditions, at any time and without prior notice.
  5. If Meridian amends these terms and conditions, Meridian will make the updated terms and conditions available in branch and/or on Meridian’s website.
  6. By participating in this Offer, participants agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and these terms and conditions. Any attempt to manipulate, misuse or exploit this Offer may result in disqualification.
  7. By participating in the Offer, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Meridian and its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns from any claims arising out of or in connection with the Offer. Participants further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meridian against any such claims. This provision survives the end of the Offer.
  8. Personal information collected in connection with the Offer will be used and disclosed in accordance with Meridian’s privacy practices and applicable law.
  9. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Offer, including any question regarding its existence, interpretation, validity, breach or termination, will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and resolved exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. By participating in this Offer, a participant irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the venue or jurisdiction of such courts.
  10. Meridian is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Offer, including direct, indirect or consequential losses, technical issues, delays, errors or circumstances beyond Meridian’s reasonable control.
  11. This Offer is intended for promotional purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, tax or other advice, or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of any Meridian product or service.
