Financial Planning Tool $50 Cash Bonus Promotion

Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) is offering a $50 cash bonus (“Cash Bonus”) to Select Members who start a financial plan through Meridian’s online Financial planning tool (“Financial Planning Tool”) available in Meridian’s online and mobile banking platforms (the “Promotion”). The Cash Bonus is available from July 7, 2026, to August 14, 2026 (the “Offer Period”). 

The following terms and conditions apply to the Promotion (“Terms and Conditions”).

Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be satisfied by the selected Member to qualify for the Promotion:

  • Have an active Membership share and have achieved the age of majority in Ontario. 
  • To be a Select Member.

    • Select Member means a Member who has received a communication directly from Meridian, including via email, splash page, or My Offers during the Promotion.

  • Have started a financial plan through the Financial Planning Tool available in Meridian’s online or mobile banking platforms.
    • A Select Member starts a plan by clicking the “Create your Plan” link available in Meridian’s online or mobile banking platforms and by accepting the Terms and Conditions related to the use of the online Financial Planning Tool.  
  • Have and maintain an active Meridian Chequing Account (defined below).
    • An eligible Chequing Account includes any of the following packages: Senior Everyday Chequing Package, Senior Unlimited Chequing Package, Essential Chequing Package, Everyday Chequing Package, Digital Chequing Package, Unlimited Chequing Package, Student Chequing Package, and/or Senior No Service Charge Chequing Package ("Chequing Account").

CASH BONUS PAYOUT

  1. After the Select Member meets all of the eligibility criteria and complies with the Terms and Conditions, Meridian will deposit the Cash Bonus as per the payout schedule outlined below, into the Member’s Chequing Account.  If the Chequing Account is not in good standing, the Cash Bonus will not be paid out. Determination of eligibility and compliance with the Terms and Conditions is at Meridian’s sole discretion.
  2. The Select Member must accept the Cash Bonus in the form that it is awarded and must be a Member of Meridian with a Chequing Account at the time the Cash Bonus is paid; no substitutes are permitted.
  3. Meridian will validate Select Members’ eligibility criteria for the Promotion each month on an ongoing basis while the promotion is active (the “Validation Date”). The Cash Bonus will be paid out to Select Members who have met the eligibility criteria of the Promotion one month after the Validation Date.

Additional Terms and Conditions

  1. This Promotion may not be combined with any other Promotion.
  2. Only one Cash Bonus per eligible Member will be awarded during this Promotion.
  3. The Promotion is only available to Select Members and may not be shared or transferred to another party.
  4. The Terms and Conditions of this Promotion, including the overall availability of the Promotion, are subject to the absolute discretion of Meridian and may be changed by Meridian at any time without further notice. Meridian reserves the right at any time without prior notice and in its sole discretion, to add, alter or modify all or any of these Terms and Conditions or to replace the Promotion, wholly or in part, with any other Promotion, whether similar to the Promotion or not, or to withdraw the Promotion altogether.
  5. Meridian reserves the right to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke the Promotion to any Member it finds or believes to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, or integrity of the Promotion.
  6. The Terms and Conditions do not amend any terms and conditions applicable to products and services held with Meridian which continue to apply during and after the Promotion.
  7. By participating in this Promotion, all participants agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and these Terms and Conditions.
  8. Meridian is not liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Promotion, including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential losses.
  9. Meridian shall have the exclusive right to determine the amounts, if any, payable under this Promotion.
  10. By participating in this Promotion, the Member agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Meridian, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively, "Releasees")  from and against any and all claims, including legal fees and expenses on a full indemnity basis, that may be brought against or incurred by any of the Releasees as a result of or in connection with this Promotion, any actions or omissions of the Member, or any breach by the Member of the Terms and Conditions governing this Promotion. This indemnity shall survive the termination, completion or expiry of the Promotion between Member and Meridian.
  11.  Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Offer, including any question regarding its existence, interpretation, validity, breach, or termination, shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. By participating in this promotion, the member irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the venue or jurisdiction of such courts. The Offer is intended for promotional purposes only and does not constitute financial or legal advice or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of any of the Financial Planning Tools.
  12. Participation in this Offer is your acknowledgement that you have read these Terms and Conditions, and you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
