A note about your rate

The rate featured on our website and on your application is the base rate. In some instances, depending on your application, a premium might be added to the base rate. This premium, if applicable, won’t be visible on your application, so we wanted to alert you to it in advance.

  • Before you begin your application

    Make sure you have the following information ready:

    • Personal information, including your name, birthdate, mailing address, phone number, email address, occupation, marital status, and Social Insurance Number (optional)

    • Personal information for your co-borrower if applicable, including your co-borrower's Social Insurance Number (optional)

    • Income and asset details for yourself and your co-borrower


    Other things you should know:

    • You must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident

    • If you are self-employed, you must have operated your business for at least 2 years

    • You will have to consent to a full credit check

    • Once you complete your application profile, your rate will be held for 90 days

    • The application is automatically saved, so you can stop and resume at any time

  • After your application is submitted

    1. Verify information: you will need to verify your income and down payment information. To do this, you will need to upload copies of the following documents for both yourself and your co-borrower:

    • Paystub

    • T4 or Notice of Assessment (NOA)

    • Bank statement for the last 3 months

    2. Pre-vet application: once all the required information is submitted, our team will pre-vet your application to verify your identity and ensure joint consent has been provided (where applicable). At this stage, you may receive an email(s) about updates to your application.

    3. Check Secure Messages: if we need more information, we will send you a Secure Message. To view your Secure Messages, log into your application dashboard from a desktop or laptop and select ‘Messages’ in the top right of the screen.

    Note: The dashboard is best accessible using a desktop or laptop; new Secure Messages are not available in mobile.

    4. We'll contact you: after your application has been pre-vetted, it will be assigned to a Digital Lending specialist who will contact you within one to two business days.

    Note: during heavy application periods, it may take longer for a Digital Lending specialist to contact you.

  • Once your application is approved
    • You will get an email confirming your application approval

    • Your application status will change to “approved” within the dashboard

    • If your application is not approved, you will get an email confirming the declined status
