MERIDIAN 2026/2027 SMALL BUSINESS BIG IMPACT NEW BUSINESS ACCOUNT $1000 OFFER - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

THE OFFER

The Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) New Business Banking Account Offer is available to all prospective Members who do not have a Meridian Membership share and fulfil the “New Small Business Member” eligibility criteria outlined below and those who successfully complete Meridian’s membership and account-opening requirements, including all applicable identity verification, know-your-client, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, credit, fraud prevention and other due diligence requirements, to Meridian’s satisfaction. An invitation to participate in the Offer, or satisfaction of any other Offer Eligibility Criteria, does not guarantee approval for Meridian membership or the opening of an Eligible Account.

A $1000 cash bonus (“Cash Bonus”) can be earned by each New Small Business Member who opens a new Meridian Business chequing or savings account and meets the eligibility criteria outlined below (the “Offer”). Additionally, the chequing account’s monthly package fee will be waived for the first 12 months. The Offer is available from October 1, 2026, until December 31, 2027 (the “Offer Period”). The following terms and conditions apply to the Offer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF THE OFFER

The following criteria must be satisfied by the New Small Business Member to qualify for the Offer.

New Small Business Member

New Small Business Members must meet all the following criteria:

1. Maintains its principal place of business and actively carries on business in Ontario, Canada.

2. The individual opening the Eligible Account (defined below) is authorized to do so by the Business to do so and must be 19 years of age, or older, at the time of participation.

3. Have not held a Membership share as of September 30, 2026.

4. Be a Meridian 2026 Small Business Big Impact Award Finalist

5. Be directly invited to participate in the Offer by Meridian

6. Purchase a Membership share and open an eligible business banking chequing or savings account (explained below) during the Offer Period

7. Open an eligible chequing or savings account which includes any of the following packages:  

1. e-Prosper Chequing Account, Prosper Chequing Account, Business Chequing Account, Prosper Plus Chequing Account, Business U.S. Dollar Chequing Account, Community/Not for Profit Account, Business Advantage Plus Savings Account, Business Advantage Savings Account or AgriInvest Account (each an “Eligible Account”)

(collectively, hereinafter referred to as the “Offer Eligibility Criteria”).

CASH BONUS PAYOUT

1. Meridian reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to applicable law, to decline an application for membership or an Eligible Account, including where the applicant does not satisfy Meridian’s account-opening, regulatory, risk-management or due diligence requirements. If Meridian declines to open an Eligible Account, the applicant will not qualify for the Offer and will not be entitled to receive the Cash Bonus or any other Offer benefit.

2. After the New Small Business Member meets all the Offer Eligibility Criteria and complies with the Offer terms and conditions, Meridian will deposit the Cash Bonus as per the payout schedule outlined below, into the New Small Business Member’s Eligible Account. If the Eligible Account is not in good standing, the Cash Bonus will not be paid out. Determination of fulfillment of the Offer Eligibility Criteria and compliance with the Offer terms and conditions is at Meridian’s sole discretion.

3. The New Small Business Member must accept the Cash Bonus in the form that it is awarded and must be a Member of Meridian with an Eligible Account at the time the Cash Bonus is paid; no substitutes or exceptions are permitted.

PAYOUT SCHEDULE

The Cash Bonus will be deposited into the Eligible Account after 4- 8 weeks from when the Eligible Account is opened. An Eligible Account is considered opened when the Member receives the account number and can access the account through the branch, online or mobile banking.

GENERAL TERMS

1. The Account’s monthly package fee and the Business Online Banking fee will be waived for the first twelve (12) months from the date of the Account opening, provided the New Small Business Member meets the Offer Eligibility Criteria. All other applicable services charges on the Account will continue to apply. After twelve (12) months, the standard monthly package fee for the Account and the Business Online Banking fee will apply, at the price of the current offered package.

2. This Offer is open to new Members who join Meridian Credit Union during the offer period. The Offer is valid only for individuals who have received a direct invitation (verbally, via email or through a letter) to participate.

3. Except as may be set out in the terms and conditions of this Offer, all terms and conditions applicable to products and services held by you with Meridian are not amended by the terms and conditions of this Offer and continue to apply during and after this Offer.

4. This is a limited time Offer. The terms and conditions of this Offer, including the overall availability of the Offer, are subject to the absolute discretion of Meridian and may be changed at any time by Meridian without advance notice. Meridian reserves the right to amend, withdraw or terminate the Offer at any time, without further notice. If Meridian amends the terms and conditions of this Offer, Meridian will make available the updated terms and conditions in branch or on the Meridian website.

5. Redemption of the Cash Bonus by a New Member who is eligible for the Offer is limited to one (1) per person and may not be combined with any other cash incentive offer.

6. Meridian reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke this Offer to any Member it finds, or believes to be, manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, or integrity of this Offer.

7. To the extent that the terms and conditions are inconsistent with any other communication, advertisement, or statement (a "Message") from Meridian, these terms and conditions will supersede all other Messages.

8. By participating in this Offer, all participants agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the Offer will result in disqualification.

9. In consideration of this Offer provided by Meridian, the Member agrees through their participation in this Offer, to irrevocably and unconditionally release, discharge and forever hold harmless Meridian, its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, suits, debts, dues, accounts, bonds, covenants, contracts, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, and compensation of any kind whatsoever (collectively “Claims”), whether known or unknown, which the Member, or any person claiming through or on behalf of the Member, now has, or may hereafter have, arising out of or in connection with this Offer or any associated transaction, service, or product provided by Meridian.

10. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions, any invitation to participate in the Offer, or any communication concerning the Offer constitutes an approval or guarantee of Meridian membership, account opening, credit, or access to any Meridian product or service. All membership and account applications remain subject to Meridian’s standard approval processes and requirements.

11. By participating in this Offer, the Member agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all Claims, including legal fees and expenses on a full indemnity basis, that may be brought against or incurred by any of the Released Parties as a result of or in connection with this Offer, any actions or omissions of the Member, or any breach by the Member of the terms and conditions governing this Offer. This indemnity shall survive the termination, completion or expiry of the Offer between Member and Meridian.

12. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Offer, including any question regarding its existence, interpretation, validity, breach, or termination, shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. By participating in this Offer, the member irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the venue or jurisdiction of such courts. 

13. Meridian is not liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with this Offer, including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential losses.

14. Participation in this Offer is your acknowledgement that you have read these terms and conditions, and you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

15. This Offer is intended for promotional purposes only and do not constitute financial or legal advice or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of any of the Accounts.

16. This offer cannot be used in combination with any other existing Meridian Business banking offer in market.
