THE BUSINESS MEMBER REFERRAL PROMOTIONAL OFFER 

The Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) Business Member Referral Offer (the “Business Referral Promotion”) is an incentive-based promotion to reward existing Business Members for referring new Business Members to Meridian. The Business Referral Promotion is available on an ongoing basis. The Business Referral Promotion is available to any existing Meridian Business Member (“Referring Business Member”) who refers a new Business Member (“Referred Business Member”). A $250 cash bonus (“Referring Business Member Cash Bonus”) can be earned by each Referring Business Member who refers a prospective Business Member to Meridian who then fulfills the eligibility criteria described below. A $250 cash bonus (“Referred Business Member Cash Bonus”) can be earned by each Referred Business Member who opens a new Meridian Business chequing account and meets the eligibility criteria outlined below. The following terms and conditions apply to the Business Referral Promotion (“Terms and Conditions”). 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS  

Eligibility Criteria   

The following eligibility criteria must be satisfied by the Referring Business Member to earn the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus:  

Referring Business Member 

1. Must have a Meridian Membership share. Meridian Members are required to hold a $1 Membership share, which is fulfilled at time of account opening (the "Share"). 

2. Must be 18 years of age, or older, at the time of participation.

3. Must have a Meridian Business chequing account. 

4. Must provide to the prospective Referred Business Member the information requested in the Promotion digital referral form (the “Referral Form”). The Referral Form provided to the Referred Business Member must include the following information of the Referring Business Member: their legal business name, email, and phone number.  

The following eligibility criteria must be satisfied by the Referred Business Member to earn the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus:  

Referred Business Member 

1. Referred Business Members must meet all the following criteria: 

• Reside in Ontario, Canada. 
• Be 18 years of age, or older, at the time of participation.  
• Have not held a Share as of December 31, 2025. 
• Purchase a Meridian Share by opening a Meridian Account (defined below). Meridian Members are required to hold a $1 Membership share, which is fulfilled at time of account opening).
• Complete the Referral Form on the Business Referral Promotion page on Meridian’s website.
• Identify in branch that the Account being opened is part of the Business Referral Promotion; or open an Account through the Business Referral Promotion webpage on Meridian’s website; and 
• Qualify for an Account through Meridian’s standard process which includes a qualification process that requires a credit check. 
• Open an eligible Meridian chequing account. An eligible chequing account under this promotion includes any of the following:  eProsper Chequing Account, Chequing Account,  Prosper Plus Chequing Account, and/or Business Chequing Account (an “Account”).  
• Maintain the account in good standing for a minimum of three (3) months after Account opening and until the Validation Date as specified in the payout schedule noted below.

General Terms 

1. Referring Business Members can receive the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus for each Referred Business Members who satisfies all of the Business Referral Promotion Eligibility Criteria. 

2. Redemption of the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus by a Referred Business Member who applied for the Business Referral Promotion is limited to one per business. 

3. Except as may be set out in these Terms and Conditions, all terms and conditions applicable to products and services held with Meridian are not amended by these Terms and Conditions and continue to apply during and after the Business Referral Promotion. 

4. These Terms and Conditions, including the overall availability of the Business Referral Promotion, may be changed by Meridian, in their absolute discretion, without further notice.  

5. Meridian reserves the right to amend, withdraw or terminate the Business Referral Promotion at any time, without further notice. If Meridian amends the Terms and Conditions, Meridian will make available the updated Terms and Conditions on Meridian’s website.  

6. Meridian is not responsible for incorrect or absent Referring Member information in the Referral Form. Meridian may obtain and/or clarify Referring Member information for correctness and to validate in order to facilitate the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus and Referred Business Member Cash Bonus payout.  

7. By sharing the referral email and, or sharing the details of the Business Referral Promotion, all participants consent to their personal information (business name, phone number, and email address) being shared with Meridian via the Referral Form.  The personal information provided in the Referral Form is used solely to verify the Referring Business Member’s existing Membership, and to execute the payout of the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus and the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus. 

8. By participating in this Business Referral Promotion, all participants agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the Business Referral Promotion will result in disqualification. 

9. Meridian is not liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with this Business Referral Promotion, including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential losses. 

10. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Promotion, including any question regarding its existence, interpretation, validity, breach, or termination, shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. By participating in the Business Referral Promotion the member irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the venue or jurisdiction of such courts.  

11. This Business Referral Promotion is intended for promotional purposes only and do not constitute financial or legal advice or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of any of the Accounts. 

 CASH BONUS PAYOUT 

1. The Referring Business Member Cash Bonus is awarded to the Referring Business Member and the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus is awarded to the Referred Business Member on the following conditions: 

• The Referring Business Member and the Referred Business Member satisfy the Business Referral Promotion Eligibility Criteria.  
• The Referred Business Member fills out the Referral Form on the Business Referral Promotion page on Meridian’s website.
• The Referred Business Member opens an Account through the Business Referral Promotion page on Meridian’s website or communicates to Meridian employees in branch they would like to participate in the Business Referral Promotion when opening an Account in branch. 
• The Referred Business Member maintains the Account in good standing until the Validation Date as specified in the payout schedule below. 

2. Business Member must accept the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus payment in the form that it is awarded and must be a Member of Meridian at the time the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus is paid; no substitutes are permitted. Payout is at Meridian’s sole discretion.

3. The Referring Business Member Cash Bonus payout will be made to only one Referring Business Member for each new eligible Referred Business Member, that meet the Business Referral Promotion Eligibility Criteria. 

4. The Referred Business Member must accept the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus payment in the form that it is awarded and must be a Member of Meridian with an Account at the time the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus is paid; no substitutes are permitted. If the Account is not in good standing, the Referred Business Member Cash Bonus will not be paid out. Payout is at Meridian’s sole discretion.

PAYOUT SCHEDULE 

For Accounts opened within a given month, Meridian will validate that the Account has remained in good standing three to four months after Account opening (the Validation Date), and the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus and Referred Business Member Cash Bonus will be paid out one month after the Validation Date. For example, if a Referred Business Member opens an Account and during the month of October, Meridian will validate that the Account has remained in good standing for 3 months on January 31st and will pay out both the Referring Business Member Cash Bonus and Referred Business Member Cash Bonus on February 28th. Cash Bonuses will be paid out by Meridian on the last day of the month or the following business day if it falls on a weekend. A sample payout schedule can be found below.
