Frequently asked questions about credit cards
When you receive your card, you need to activate it by calling the number on the sticker affixed to the front of your card.
You can also activate your card online – here are some helpful tips.
In eZCard, make sure you’re in the Master account view by going to the top of the page and selecting the switch icon next to your account name. Then, go to the 'Statements' page and chose your preferred statement option (electronic or paper).
As a primary cardholder, you will see that you have a card number and a Master account number. Card numbers apply to specific credit cards and identify payments and transactions. Your account number applies to your credit card account, which may include more than one card. Your account consolidates transactions and payments across all its cards.
To change these details please call Meridian Contact Centre at 1 (866) 592-2226.
Call the number on the back of the card or dispute items online in eZCard. Navigate to eZCard, select a transaction you’d like to dispute (Note: a transaction has to be posted to the account) and select “Dispute this charge”.
Please call the number on the back of your credit card.
Your credit card allows you to consolidate other balances into one card. Transfer a balance by calling Cardholder Services at 1 (877) 558-3049. Please have the billing and account information available for the balances that you wish to transfer.
The annual interest rate is a measure of the cost of credit, expressed as a nominal yearly rate. It is the amount of interest that is billed to your account for the convenience of using your credit card. There is a 21-day grace period during which no interest will be charged on that month's merchandise purchases. Please note that cash advances do not have a grace period. You can view your current annual interest rate online in your eZCard account or on a monthly statement. Your complete annual interest rate details were provided with your card when your account was approved.
Your card will work in most countries. Due to fraud trends, we may restrict transactions in certain countries. As a fraud protection measure, we do strongly recommend that you call Cardholder Service prior to your departure. You can reach Cardholder Service at 1 (877) 558-3049.
When traveling internationally, please contact Cardholder Service at the international collect number: 1 (727) 570-4899.
Members can change their PIN at any Meridian or THE EXCHANGE® Network ABM. Here’s a list of ABM locations.
To quickly change your PIN at an ABM, simply insert your Visa card and follow the prompts. You’ll need to input your existing PIN during the process, so make sure you have it with you.
If you’ve forgotten or lost your existing Meridian Credit Card PIN, call Cardholder Services at 1 (877) 558-3049 to request a new one.
You can use your Meridian Visa Card to tap and pay for purchases with contactless payments up to $250.
Tip: Make life even easier with mobile payments. Add your Meridian Visa Card as a payment method on your phone and use it to make purchases.
Your PIN becomes blocked if you enter it incorrectly three times. If this happens, you won't be able to use your card for transactions requiring a PIN. There are a couple of ways to unblock your PIN.
If you remember your PIN or have it written down somewhere, visit a Meridian or Exchange Network ABM to unblock/reset your PIN with a balance inquiry. Once you’ve reset your PIN, you can start using your card with Chip/PIN right away.
If you’ve forgotten your PIN, call Cardholder Services at 1 (877) 558-3049 (note: this number is on the back of your card) to request a PIN mailer . Once you receive the new temporary PIN by mail, visit a Meridian or Exchange Network ABM to reset/unblock it by performing a balance inquiry. Once you’ve reset your PIN you can start using your card with Chip/PIN right away.
Tip: If your PIN is blocked, you can still make purchases by contactless tap or mobile wallet up to $250 until you’re able to visit an ABM to unblock/reset your PIN.
