1. Travel Bonus Offer
Travel Bonus Offer: Meridian Credit Union Limited (“Meridian”) is offering a limited‑time credit card bonus points promotion (the “Travel Bonus Offer”) for Eligible Cardholders who receive the promotional email communication. The Travel Bonus Offer provides bonus rewards points on Eligible Transactions related to travel spending from February 2, 2026 to March 31, 2026.
Travel Bonus Offer Period: The Travel Bonus Offer is valid from February 2, 2026, to March 31, 2026 (the “Travel Bonus Offer Period”).
Eligibility Criteria for the Travel Bonus Offer:
a) Eligible Cardholders: The Travel Bonus Offer is only available to Meridian credit cardholders who receive the Travel Bonus Offer email communication directly from Meridian
b) Eligible Transactions: Transactions must be posted during the Travel Bonus Offer Period. Meridian reserves the right to determine which transactions qualify for bonus rewards points. The following Merchant Category Codes qualify for bonus rewards points under the Travel Bonus Offer:
- 5411 — Grocery
- 3500–3999 — Hotel
- 3000–3299 — Direct airline purchases
- 5812–5814 — Dining
c) Account Standing: The Eligible Cardholder’s account must remain open, in good standing, and not become delinquent throughout the Travel Bonus Offer Period.
Bonus Points Structure: During the Travel Bonus Offer Period, Eligible Cardholders will earn bonus points only according to the specific tiered spend offer they were individually sent by email.
Bonus rewards points will be awarded based on total Eligible Transactions posted within the Travel Bonus Offer Period.
Fulfillment of Travel Bonus Points: Allow up to two (2) billing cycles from the end of the Travel Bonus Offer Period for bonus points to be posted to the Eligible Cardholder’s account.
2. Transit Bonus Points Offer
Transit Bonus Points Offer: An additional 5,000‑point for transit is available only to select Eligible Cardholders who receive the associated email communication that specifically includes the transit offer. Cardholders who received a promotional email without the transit offer are not eligible for the Transit Bonus Offer.
Transit Bonus Points Offer Period: The Transit Bonus Points Offer is valid from February 2, 2026, to March 31, 2026 (the “Travel Bonus Points Offer Period”).
Eligibility Criteria for the Transit Bonus Points Offer:
To qualify for the 5,000 bonus points, the Eligible Cardholder must:
- Set up an autoload on a transit card; and
- Complete two (2) additional qualifying digital top‑ups between February 2 and March 31, 2026. Eligible Transactions for Transit Bonus Points Offer: Transactions must be posted during the Transit Bonus Points Offer Period. The following MCC qualifies for bonus rewards points under the Transit Bonus Points Offer:
- 4111 with mail/phone indicator 2 — Transit autoload transactions.
Excluded Transit Transactions:
- Ticket counter purchases
- Manual reloads
- Cancellations
- Any transaction that does not meet autoload or approved digital top‑up criteria
Fulfillment of Transit Bonus Points: Allow up to two (2) billing cycles from the end of the Transit Bonus Points Offer Period for bonus points to be posted to the Eligible Cardholder’s account.
General Terms and Conditions
3. All amounts are shown in Canadian dollars.
4. Additional terms and conditions apply to both the opening and operation of the eligible credit card product at Meridian. Except as may be set out in the terms and conditions of the Offers, all terms and conditions applicable to products and services held with Meridian are not amended by these terms and conditions and continue to apply during and after the Offer periods.
5. By participating in the Offers, Members agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the Offers will result in disqualification.
6. The Offers cannot be combined with any other promotional offers unless Meridian, at its sole discretion, defines otherwise.
7. If Meridian is unable to run the Offers as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Meridian which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of the Offers, Meridian reserves the right at its sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the Offers, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way.
8. Meridian reserves the right at its absolute discretion to withdraw the Offers in whole or in part, or to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions at any time and from time to time without notice, at its absolute discretion. Meridian reserves the right to end earlier, or to extend, the Offers period, at its absolute discretion.
9. Meridian reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke the Offers to any Member it finds, or believes to be, manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, or integrity of the Offers.
10. The Offers may be suspended, modified or withdrawn at any time without notice for any reason including, but not limited to, an error or mistake on behalf of Meridian.
11. To the extent that the terms and conditions are inconsistent with any other communication, advertisement, or statement (a "Message") from Meridian, these terms and conditions will supersede all other Messages.
12. Meridian is not liable for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Offers, including but not limited to direct, indirect, or consequential losses.
13. In consideration of the Offers provided by Meridian, the Member agrees through their participation in the Offers, to irrevocably and unconditionally release, discharge and forever hold harmless Meridian, its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, suits, debts, dues, accounts, bonds, covenants, contracts, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, and compensation of any kind whatsoever (collectively “Claims”), whether known or unknown, which the Member, or any person claiming through or on behalf of the Member, now has, or may hereafter have, arising out of or in connection with the Offers or any associated transaction, service, or product provided by Meridian.
14. By participating in the Offers, the Member agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all Claims, including legal fees and expenses on a full indemnity basis, that may be brought against or incurred by any of the Released Parties as a result of or in connection with the Offers, any actions or omissions of the Member, or any breach by the Member of the terms and conditions governing the Offers. This indemnity shall survive the termination, completion or expiry of the Offers between Member and Meridian.
15. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to the Offers, including any question regarding its existence, interpretation, validity, breach, or termination, shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. By participating in this promotion, the member irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the venue or jurisdiction of such courts.
16. Participation in the Offers is your acknowledgement that you have read these terms and conditions, and you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
17. The Offers are intended for promotional purposes only and does not constitute financial or legal advice or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of any of the product.
18. Notice of the Offers including these terms and conditions are deemed to be provided on the day it is posted to the Meridian website.
