If you already have a Meridian business chequing account, that means you also hold a $1 Meridian Member Share Account, which makes you ineligible for the $250 welcome bonus. However, you can refer new business Members to Meridian and earn a referral reward. For every person who enters your contact details, opens a business chequing account, and fulfils the eligibility requirements, you get a $250 referral reward.
If you currently hold a $1 Meridian Member Share Account, you are not eligible for this offer.
A Meridian Share Account is an account where the Member holds at least one Membership share (each valued at $1). This is required to access Meridian products and services. It’s automatically opened for you during the account opening process.
Yes – as long as your Membership was inactive as of December 31, 2025, you’re eligible. You must not currently hold a $1 Meridian Member Share Account.
- Complete the referral form on the offer page with your contact info and that of business Member who has referred you.
- Open a $1 Member Share Account.
- Open a qualifying business chequing account online through the offer page or mention the offer in-branch.
- Maintain the account in good standing for at least 3 months. Review the terms and conditions.
New Business Members will receive their $250 Welcome Bonus within three months of meeting all eligibility requirements.
Example: If you open your account on June 14, 2026 and maintain it in good standing for 3 months, then your bonus will be deposited by October 31, 2026.
