Our Members have told us that banking security is a top concern. With this in mind, we’ve introduced two-step authentication, an additional security feature for those who prefer to bank digitally.

Two-step authentication adds an extra layer of security to your accounts. It’s another way of keeping your accounts secure, even if your password is stolen.

With this feature, each time you sign in from an unknown device or location, you’ll be prompted to enter a security code. If you’re traveling outside of Canada and need access to online or mobile banking while you’re away, there are a few things to know about two-step authentication.

If your registered device is set to airplane mode, or if you’re using a local SIM card, you may not be able to sign in using two-step authentication.

To avoid a service disruption, please do the following:

Prior to your departure, select the “Don’t ask me again for 60 days” box when signing in to online banking. If you use the same device while travelling (and provided travel does not extend beyond the 60-day window), you won’t need to reauthenticate while abroad.

If you’re having trouble making a payment on your mortgage or loan, we’re here to help. We can tailor a solution to your individual circumstances, and one possible approach is skipping a payment. You can request to skip a payment online, through your mortgage or loan payment options, or by calling our Contact Centre at 1-866-592-2226.

How do I make a lump sum payment on my loan or mortgage?

You can pay off up to 20% more of your mortgage each year through a combination of prepaying more of your original principal balance and increasing your original mortgage payment.
